Hannah Hardy
Associate Editor
Hannah Hardy is a third-year medical student at the University of Birmingham with a keen interest in evidence-based medicine, research and medical leadership. She aspires to pursue a clinical career that integrates research, education and leadership, with current academic interests in surgery and anaesthetics.
Hannah is passionate about education and serves as a European Resuscitation Council accredited Basic Life Support (BLS) Assessor and Instructor. In this role, she supports the delivery and evaluation of resuscitation training for her fellow students, contributing to the development of their clinical skills.
She brings a diverse portfolio of professional experience. Hannah previously served as a Governor at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), where she contributed to strategic discussions. She also held the position of Chair of the GOSH Young People’s Forum, leading advocacy initiatives and collecting stakeholder feedback to inform service improvement. Highlights of her tenure include presenting at national conferences and co-authoring research publications, with a focus on the experiences of young people during the pandemic.
Motivated by a commitment to expanding opportunities for student-led research, Hannah has taken on the role of Associate Editor, in which she aims to help foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
