Mr Alexander Hagan
Deputy Editor-in-Chief
Alex is a medical student at Newcastle University with a background in clinical psychology and neuropsychology. He graduated with a BSc in Psychology and Criminology and an MSc in Clinical Psychology before holding applied research and clinical roles in paediatric neuropsychology at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, and the Great North Children’s Hospital. His research has focused predominately on paediatric acquired brain injury, neurocognitive late effects in childhood survivors of brain tumour, fatigue in long-term neurological conditions, and post-diagnostic dementia care.
Alongside his medical training, Alex has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, serves as a reviewer in child and clinical neuropsychology, and contributes to international working groups in paediatric neuro-oncology.
As Deputy Editor-in-Chief, he aims to champion high-quality, academic publishing and create meaningful opportunities for students to engage with research.
