Sarya is a third year medical student at the University of Oxford. She has a keen interest in cancer research, with her intercalated dissertation exploring ways of optimising our approach to drug discovery and repurposing in oncology. 

Sarya is passionate about the socioeconomic determinants of health and the importance of tackling health inequalities through policy change. She feels strongly about Open Access research and enabling collaboration within the scientific community. Her interest in scientific journalism was cemented during her time on the senior editorial team of The Oxford Scientist and she looks forward to continuing her journey in medical research and publishing.
