Aksh is a second-year medical student with a keen interest in general surgery and a strong passion for research in endocrine systems and gut microbiota, with a particular emphasis on the role of stem cells in disease modulation.

With his aspiration to pursue a career in general surgery, Aksh is involved with the QUB Surgical Society and has worked on papers in neurology, dermatology, and surgery.

In his role as design editor, Aksh aims to further the BSDJ mission to promote the work done by UK medical professionals and bridge the gap by making publication more accessible and engaging.
