Rachel is a foundation doctor based in London. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at St. George's, University of London. She obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from McMaster University in Canada, with particular interests in pedagogy, animal behavior and curriculum development. Her clinical interests include neurosurgery, pediatrics and holistic medicine.
Passionate about education, Rachel has held many teaching roles in English and French including Anatomy Demonstrator and Clinical Skills Tutor at St. George’s, University of London, Introductory Psychology Teaching Assistant at McMaster University, and English Language Assistant at l’École Polyvalente Nicholas-Gatineau.
Rachel’s research interests include medical education and paediatric care. She has presented research nationally and internationally on behalf of Global Tracheostomy Collaborative on the use of webinars to teach and improve paediatric tracheostomy care. She is also widely involved in Widening Participation and is a mentor to secondary students seeking higher education.
In Rachel’s personal life she enjoys building relationships with others through the arts, travel and fitness. She enjoys volunteer teaching and music ministry with children at her local church. Her hobbies include Muay Thai boxing, singing, creative writing, dancing and solo travelling.
