Dr Natalie Farmer

Natalie is an Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainee working in South Yorkshire. She has been with the British Student Doctor Journal ​since 2017. She obtained her medical degree from Newcastle University and achieved a Distinction in her MSc in Reproductive and Developmental Medicine from the University of Sheffield. Her research, involving a menstrual symptoms questionnaire piloted in gynaecology outpatients, has been presented internationally.

 

Natalie's interests include scientific journalism and she has published guidance to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection in outpatient gynaecology departments. She is passionate about students getting an opportunity to express themselves through the written word. In her spare time, she enjoys practising yoga, reading books and trying different types of tea.
