Zekai Qiang

Zekai Qiang is a third-year medical student at the University of Sheffield who is passionate about academic medicine. With a particular focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and neurosurgery, Zekai is determined to make significant contributions in these fields. Currently, he is involved in a number of projects including development of generative models for data augmentation in biomedical deep learning. This research aims to enhance the accuracy and efficacy of medical diagnostics through the integration of AI techniques.

Zekai is also a strong advocate for encouraging fellow students to actively participate in research, recognising the immense benefits it brings to personal and professional growth. Zekai actively mentors and supports his peers, sharing his experiences and inspiring them to explore the world of academia.
