Periklis is a fourth-year medical student at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He aspires to pursue ophthalmology as a clinician-scientist. His research interests include: Artificial Intelligence, retina, oculoplastics, ocular oncology, medical education, leadership and surgery. Periklis has won an award of Merit in both of his pre-clinical years at medical school and was awarded the Rod Flower research vacation scholarship at the Barts Cancer Institute for six weeks in the summer of 2021. He is the recipient of the Healthcare Leadership Academy's prestigious scholarship for the year 2022-2023. He has presented work internationally, including Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology in 2023, for which he received the ARVO International Travel Grant.

In his free time, he is helping medical students to get into medical school at In2MedSchool and Migrant Leaders and studying the financial markets. He speaks English and Greek fluently, knows a little German, and loves cycling and swimming.
