Dr Caitlin Young

Caitlin is a foundation doctor working in Glasgow, UK. She completed her MBBCh at Cardiff University School of Medicine, having previously achieved First Class Honours from Cardiff with a BSc in Neuroscience.
Her main clinical interests are in geriatrics, stroke and neurology. Accordingly, she has reflected on the experiences of older people in hospital in The BSDJ. In addition, Caitlin has published in Geriatrics, regarding the clinical outcomes of acutely unwell dementia patients in different ward environments. The larger body of work to which the latter contributed won first prize for Promoting Clinical Research and Application to Practice at the 2017 NHS Wales Awards.
More recently, Caitlin has published in Movement Disorders Clinical Practice on the management of pregnancy in women with early-onset Parkinsonism.
